LJ is playing tricks on me. This morning I was on 80 and 50 (including communities), now I'm back on 77 and 49, as the whole week. I couldn't possibly see any new names this morning, nor do I miss anyone now. What's going on?
Go to the LiveJournal "admin console", here. Type in "friend list gerbie" (leave off the quotes), and hit the "execute" button. It will list off all the people who have you listed as a friend. Anything with a "C" next to it is a community. Anything with a "D" next to it is a deleted journal. Chances are you have some journals listed who have since deleted, but are coming back to undelete their journals every once in awhile for a "peek" at their old friends. It happens to me once in awhile, too. If it's bugging you, or you see someone who's "deleted" that you want off your list, go back to the console and type in "friend remove username" (leave off the quotes again), and hit execute, and it'll remove that person. It's a good way to weed out deleted journals, because you can't remove them from the "edit friends" page.
Seems fairly logical. The thing is, it just bugs my mind, it is not something that bothers me much. I am just too curious HOW this is happening. Annoyed that I cannot see the difference between 47 or 50 friends. I might use it someday. Thanx for the link.
