Spell check

Would there be a place where I can download the spellcheck files for Windows, at the moment I can only check Dutch and English files. I would love to be able to do the same for the Spanish and German things I write occasionally. And perhaps French and Italian as well.

There's a multilingual proofing tools pack that you can buy for Windows XP or 2000. I saw info about it on the Microsoft website. Don't know if you wanted to pay for anything... but that's all I got ;)

I'm not up to scratch yet, Windows 98 is advanced for me. And I would love to have the feature, but I wouldn't use it on a daily basis, therefore I guess I'd rather not pay too much, preferably nothing. Thanx for the thought tough.

Magically, [livejournal.com profile] the_windmill and I seem to have French, Dutch, Spanish English, Russian and German spell check going on. How it has happened is beyond me entirely. Do you have the different keyboards installed?

Don't know. Should find out how to do that first. Would a different spellcheck just appear when I install other keyboards?

When I have the French keybaord activated, sometimes french things get auto-corrected. My spelling in Dutch is too terrible to determine if the same thing happens.

In the control panels, for 98 I think it's in add/remove programs, there should be 2 tabs on the box, the one in the back should be windows setup. The language options should be there I think.

Thanx for your help. I've installed a few keyboards now, not all spellchecks automatically come with it, though the French one does work. Now I only have to start writing in French more often than once every second year.
