Haha! Bottom is funny. Not many people can pull off that kind of humor, but Rik and Ade do so well.

I liked that live Bottom where they were playing with that blow up doll.

Some of my faves:
Spaced - best sit-com of the last few years in my opinion
The Book Group - books, sex and footballers wives.
Black Books - books, and strange behaviour
Last of the Summer Wine - over 30 years of elderly men behaving like little boys and women disapproving

Isabel.

Now you're teasing me. None of these air in the Netherlands! I have just discovered Black Books on Belgian television, but missed several episodes. I've seen Spaced mentioned around here, but wouldn't know a thing about it. The other two I haven't even heard of.

Let me guess: Channel four?

Spaced was a flat-share comedy, but definitely NOT middle of the road. Two friends pretending to be married so they can get the flat, the blokes best friend who is obsessed with the Territorial Army, the mad artist in the basement flat, the landlady who fancies him, the pet dog. Channel 4 I think.
The Book Group - Lonely American woman in Glasgow starts a book group. The people who turn up are, three footballers' wives (Scottish, Dutch & Swedish), a paraplegic man who all the women fancy, a closeted gay man who is having an affair with the Scottish footballer, and a patronising drug-addict male student. I spent the whole of the second series saying "I'm sure these wasn't this much sex in it before!" On Channel 4.
Last of the Summer Wine is the longest-running comedy on BBC1 over 30 years. I hated it when I was a teenager, but now it's on my "must video if there's any chance I'll miss it" list.

I think The Book Group would be fun to see, the Summer Wine is on the Beeb, I'm surprised, I'll check the tv-guide. Would you say it is getting better as it gets older or when you got older?

I think I've just become addicted through long exposure. A lot of younger people hate it.
