School trip

Came back this evening from a school trip. 4 days with 60 students and only 3 of us to guide them. Surprisingly it went really well. Ignoring a few tiny problems, we had a flawless week with plenty of fun but also loads of interesting stuff to do for tourism students. A bustour of Schiphol airport, a guided tour through Alkmaar, a walk on the beach, a disco evening, a daytrip on a huge sailing boat to Volendam, an interesting visit to the West Friesche Museum at Hoorn, I hardly know my own country became clear again this week.

At the moment: reading dozens of e-mails, waiting for the laundry to finish then go to bed to catch up with some extra sleep. Tomorrow the queen celebrates her birthday, a bank holiday over here. Nice to have a day doing completely nothing ahead of me.
