Second look (30)

Driving through the outback is not easy. Not much to see, bad roads. After the Flinders range, the road becomes a dirt track. After driving a few hours, I look at the map and see that there is supposingly a lake fairly close. Lake Eyre South the sign tells me a few kilometers later. I take a turn and want to eat my lunch lakeside. After 10km I should have found the lake, as it was only 7km from the main road. Then I remembered the bump 3km back. I realise I am driving 'on' the lake. No water left, the lake is a salt flat. I turn around before I get lost and can't find the road back. First I have to take a picture. Not very often one drives around on the bottom of a lake.

Wild! I can picture that in my head.

Seems wilder now than it was at the time.

Neat! Good thing you realized what that "bump" was. Good picture!

Thank you. And I have to admit it took me a while to get the puzzle correct...
