Eleven up

Back at my parents home we are playing this horrible little computer game now which is absolutely addictive. The problem is that there is three of us playing, most of us several times a day. It's just a card game, but as we end up comparing high scores, we sit and play for a while, though the chances of getting a high score are slim. Even though the game is three rounds, we all just quit if we realize we can't reach 170.000. Any score over 150.000 is an achievement, but you need 180.000 now to be the best. I've found a way to just add your name in the high score list, without actually playing, so I'm top now, though my dad has the highest score in fact. He's the best at simple games over here, can play for a couple of hours without any effort. I get bored too soon. This addiction should stop!

Sounds like me and Solitaire! A couple of years ago, after I dumped the evil ex and moved back in with my folks for awhile, I was heinously addicted to Solitaire on their computer. The computer was right in my room, but I was too computer illiterate at the time to do anything with it but play Solitaire. I used to play for hours at a time. *laughs*

the most annoying thing is that my mom has just got a new high score today, which theorically should be impossible. She can't count to save her life whereas that's the only thing you do in this game.
