I don't think that the Sagrada Familia will be ready soon. Optimists say it might be ready by 2030. I doubt it. Now the church is something special. Every now and again one has to come back and see how much progress has been made. By the time it's finished, one more visit will do. That would make it an ending affair. I think it will take decades, perhaps centuries before they will finally finish it. If ever.

However, I like watching the small details, luckily Gaudi did put in many of them.

En toch vind ik het een te pompeus geval. Doet me een beetje denken aan Den Haag met al die gemixte stijlen. Maar de 'oude' kant vond ik dan wel weer mooi

Dermate pompeus dat het weer leuk wordt, over the top is soms juist erg mooi. Maar goed, blij dat niet iedereen dezelfde mening heeft...

Nouja het is wel indrukwekkend om door te lopen natuurlijk en ik doe het ze niet na (en Gaudi is best tof), maar dan heb ik toch liever de kleinere cathedralen van bijvoorbeeld Frankrijk

I quite like the idea that it never ends. It makes it interesting to go back. It's like the Loch Ness monster. I prefer not to know if it exisits or not. The story stays alive.
