I just followed a link to someone's deadjournal. What is all that about? Apart from the site addresss, I couldn't find any difference from LJ. Is that a stupid assumption?

I came to the same assumption myself after looking at someone's page on their. Maybe it's cool to the pseduo-goths because the name is morbid sounding...who knows? heh.

Yeah, LJ is open-source, so anyone who has a decent server and knowledge of programming can basically make a similar program. bradfitz is partially credited with the design of both.

I think it's mostly like LJ, but supposedly with more attitude. Or something.

it's the same engine and code, they made it when lj was being very slow a few months ago
