Ok, here's what I think... It's true that some people did benifit from 9/11. I don't, however, think in ANY way that it was allowed to happen. I think that US intelligence gets threats all the time, the vast majority are completely false. True, security should have been stepped up, something should've been done...but it's so easy to judge after the fact. I never liked Bush (said that a million times!) but, I don't think he is some evil psycho that willfully allowed a devastating attack on the US in order to come out like some kind of hero.
If, however, conspiracy theories are right...I don't want to know. I am happy the way I am, in the dark. Believing that there are mostly good people in this world. Believing that I am safe and that I will continue to enjoy my life, my family and friends..all of it. I don't want to live in fear or paranoia.
(The following could be frozen drink induced, sounds a little silly..but I mean it.) I basically believe that things happen for a reason. That we are all here to learn from each other and ourselves. So maybe any good that does come out of 9/11 can just be taken as a gift, instead of assumed to be some kind of twisted plot. The Taliban needed to go down..way before September. It's good to see Americans show some love for their country, instead of being so used to complaining. Conspiracy theories and pointing fingers only show that the world has gone back to normal. People are no longer inspired to unite, it's business as usual.
