i hate that... how little mistakes in a book can make you doubt the veracity of everything else in the book that we cannot know for sure. for example, when i did my master's degree we had to read a LONG book called The System, about Hillary Clinton attempting to reform the health system in the US and the entire process of that... and its failure. But somewhere in the book the writers referred to Senator Fred Grandy of Iowa. He is well known as having been a star on the tv show Love Boat, but the book said he was in the show Gilligan's Island. And it was a stupid mistake... but if they could not get something simple like that right... then...? What else did they miss?
