Deelder is beyond any rule. He is a performer who can tell a story so incredibly fast that I tried to read along once and didn’t manage. He is an author of great stories. He writes poetry that is both funny but also makes you think. Now, with his publisher turning 60, he wrote a book full of comic drawings. Some of them funny, others just weird; several of them inspired by poems by himself. Good for a collector like myself, perhaps not for everyone.
