Smoke in your face

Today I walked to the classrooms we call the barracks, extra emergency building to help us out now we've got too many students for the main building. The space between the main building and the emergency building is a hotspot for smokers. So when I walked past a group of them, one of them blew smoke into my face, as she didn't realise I was walking there. I exaggerated a little and pretended to be staggering back. She apologized, but one of the other girls started laughing. "Do you know what it means if someone blows smoke in your face?" I didn't, but the culprit did, she turned red. I did have an idea now. "It wasn't deliberate.." she kept staggering.



Back in the classroom I asked them again what it meant. They didn't want to tell me, but another classroom bluntly stated "Amongst youngsters it is a sign that you want to have sex with someone." The class laughed. Me too. I asked them how non-smokers have to get around this problem, but apparently there is no signal for non-smokers, they just have to ask. I forgot to ask how to answer when someone blows smoke in your face. Perhaps next week.
