A blanket is standard gear in Maseru, as it is in the rest of Lesotho. This man has three ways to earn a living. One could use his phone (battery under the table), but a call to Europe is impossible. One could buy a phone card, if you have your own cell phone, also popular in Lesotho. Finally lollypops for those who do not want to call.

A picture is free. He even asks to be photographed. Like the man behind the table next to him. And the shop owner next to that man. People in Lesotho are happy to be in someone's picture. Easy to oblige.
