3 musicians meet every Tuesday evening in a pub in Amsterdam. Late, very late. At some point they decide to read poetry to each other. Some time later they are a last minute replacement for a colleague who has fallen ill. A show was born. Poetry and music, soon they started touring. With the tour came the book and a CD. A couple of weeks ago I saw their show and had a great evening. Their book had been sold out the evening before, so I had to make do with the CD. Luckily I had already bought the book before, so it was fun to read some of the poetry they did on stage.
I like their poetry. Simple, down to earth, describing everyday situations everyone recognizes. Yet on the other hand using language that make you feel you had written it yourself. A great accomplishment. A nice book as well.
