When I met my ex-bf, we used to listen to cd's of the Trockener Kecks all the time. He was a big fan, and just like you he had been so for quite a long time. He used to visit as many concerts of them as he could and he even traveled alongside them for about a year together with friends. He had all their cd's and knew like all the lyrics by heart, cause he been listening to them for ever. [ Our song used to be "In Tranen" - do you know the song? "We hebben altijd nog elkaar" used to be our line.. things worked out somewhat different, and right now we don't have no contact no more cause it was to hard on him after I left for the USA, but somewhere it is still the truth, we will always be there for eachother no matter what. But this was bout the Kecks LOL, not me :) ]
When their last cd came out last year (or was it already the year before.. think it was already longer ago but time passes so fast!)he decided not to buy it no more. The magic was gone, and actually the cd did not sound like them no more in a way either. We were thinking bout going to their last concerttour but in the end kinda forgot about it. It was not so important no more I guess..
Reading your umm recentie (what is the english word?) made me curious about the book. I am kinda hesitated to read it tho cause of the negative feelings you described..
