Jeemig de peemig was an expression used a lot by hippies in the sixties. Afterwards it was only used by those whose head remained in that era, though time had moved on. It was made very popular by a character in a comedy in the eighties, who was called 'oudere-jongere' translated something like 'eldery youngster'. It doesn't mean much, it is used like 'gosh', 'zut alors', 'geil', 'jeeez', 'echt?' or something like that. Weet je wel can be translated as 'you know' and used accordingly annoyingly.
