I quite like Portishead. I like them more every time I listen to them. They manage to create such a great atmosphere. And now I start reading the lyrics, they grow in my estimation. What about this song:

pretty much every song I hear or read the lyrics to lately make me sad. I didn't realise how many people wrote songs about love.. I guess I was too happy to notice.. bleh

I have to admit reading more lyrics at the moment as well, do not even listen to the music all the time. And, yes, one could easily find plenty of songs that seem applicable. It does help a bit though. At least you know you're not alone.
