Youp van 't Hek - 166 x Youp (02-042)

Columns and plenty of them. He is not my favourite comedian, though he has some good idea's. This book was a birthday gift for my dad. Someone must not have known him too well, the last time he read a book was in 1966. It is a compilation from his 8 previous collections. Some funny, some too easy. Light reading for those lost three minutes inbetween the end of a football match on television and the news. For when you've finished the newspaper and dinner is not ready yet. For reading on the bog. For moments you can't be bothered to get up from the sofa and the book happens to be next to you. Five hundred pages of it even. Can't be too bad then.

Eenzaam is one in his series of visits to islands everywhere in the world, if I remember well the second part. He has written piles of books about people in mental institutions as he was there himself and his father spend most of the time there. Have you just discovered him, because he died last week or is that just coincidence?

Start with children's books, it is always a good way to expand your vocab.
