Snow again

The world does look beautiful when it snows. I can't remember a winter that it snowed this often. Not much, just often. It started again a couple of hours ago, all students started staring out of the window.

Everything slows down. Not only literally. People have more time, cars need to adapt their speed, children start playing with snow instead of walking to school. The parents who help them cross the streets play along for a bit, feeling young again.

I had to go to the supermarket to get something for the meeting, my turn, it was my birthday during the christmas holidays. I decided to walk, it's only a few hundred meters. I like walking in the snow. The world is white, some old people already start cleaning their pavement, even though it's still snowing. An old lady stares out of her window and sees me walk by with two applepies, immediately signals for me to come in. I laugh but shrug that they are for my colleagues.

I like snow. The weather in this country is a reason to complain for plenty of people. I like the variety. Rain on a warm summernight is great. Cycling to school in freeze cold in january as well. Variety is the spice of life. Let the world be white now!
