I just registered for a paid account. As an early adopter I had more rights than all free accounts anyway, but in a strange mood of generosity I decided that I didn't mind contributing to a site that has brought great pleasure to me for over two and a half years now. Now I'll have to find out the benefits of a paid account. My user icons are due for renewal anyway. I can have more now!

Up until now I don't see the benefit though. LJ is slower than before today, the feel-good-factor is the main reason at the moment. Spent the money while you can!
