I like conspiracy theories. I have often doubted official statements over here. But even I do doubt the next story.

I've read a lot of those assertions before. The one that grabs me the most is how they released the names of the highjackers so quickly after the crashes.
There has been quite a bit about the events of 9/11 and the following two years that struck me as awfully coincidental and fishy, but as of yet, you can't prove anything. I firmly believe that I watched the "JFK assination" of my generation.

I know some of the doubts were raised by yourself, by me. But all put together it is a scary thought. But I certainly do believe that the FBI/CIA must have known about it. They know the smell of the farts of every possible world leader and they had't got a clue this was going to happen?

I'm afraid this might not be the only JFK for our generation. It already has the same status (Where were you when?) but as conspiraries go, there will be plenty more.

Some will, some won't. I'm afraid some things get exposed and people will just shrug and say: we've always known that.

I've seen similar things before. One group is very adamant that the plane that hit the Pentagon wasn't the 3rd plane that was hijacked. In other words, that plane is somewhere else, and some kind of bomb or something hit the Pentagon. It's all a bunch of hooey.

Well, some of them might be. But I have a feeling that a good portion of them have a grain of truth, but that truth has been stretched to fit the needs of the conspiracy theorist.

If you work backward from just about any assumption with a desired proof, you can find one. One of my favorites is that Richard Helms (former CIA director) and Howard Hughes were the same person. One of the better argues is here. It just cracks me up. Knowing Richard, and his family I am 99.9% certain that while he may have been one hell of an interesting character, he was not Howard Hughes.

Obviously, filtering information is an easy thing, hindsight is the best advantage. And I did, still do, doubt that story. Thing is, some of the points they seem to prove have been questions I have raised before myself. At the moment I cannot imagine 9/11 as a complete surprise to the US. Given on what happened since, it did come in useful even. Who was it again that set fire to the reichstag?
