Thanks! I had a look at those people last night and found a lot of interesting people including a contingent of Canadians (OVER the age of 20!) living in Amsterdam. This may be useful indeed. I am looking for a language course to take this summer and someone who can explain some financial issues that seem to work very differently in the Netherlands than here.

There were actually very few Dutch people who write in Dutch. I don't know why this surprises me, but it does!

Perhaps MatthewG on my friendslist is an interesting person to talk to. He's an American and fell in love with Jellyrose and moved to Amsterdam for her. They're getting married next year. He had to wait for a bit for his permit, but is working now.
