Yesterday we went to see the baseball. And I never even considered that it could be bad weather, didn't even bring a coat. Yet halfway there (two hours drive) it started raining. 20 matches in three tournaments and no problem, match 21 coming up, first time I'm going and it's raining. The game was due to start at 19.00h, so we were sitting in the rain waiting for it to start. It did finally at 20.30h. Italy immediately turned out to be the toughest opposition, scoring in the first half of the first inning and then scoring another one in the second. We saw some great defense, especially Reili Legito, shortshop, played two extremely well. A solo HR in the bottom of the second meant the Italian lead was cut in half.
Then on starting the third, it started raining again. Another delay. 21.15h the players again went for a warm up, yet exactly as the game was ready to restart more water came from heaven, prompting the referee to cancel the game.
So back home we went. 4 hour in the car, 3 hours in the stadium getting wet, 2 innings played but cancelled. The game is due up again tomorrow evening.
