I like to read Asterix, one book translated in my own dialect caused me to start a new collection. Asterix in several languages and dialects. Especially in Germany they are very good for me: dozens of different dialects are available. So during my visit to Berlin I picked up two more for my collection. I read the first one already while I was there. Obviously, knowing the story makes it easier to read the story in a strange dialect. Though East Frisian isn’t such a strange dialect. It is an area bordering the Netherlands and resembles some of the northern dialects, who again resemble the eastern dialect I speak.

Asterix is always fun to read. There is a historical accuracy that several history books lack; I can only recommend children to read this series.

Just because I didn't have time to buy a new one, my current mouse survived. Last night I was ready to throw it around the room. Then I took a screwdriver, opened the little bastard and found that by cleaning the inside, a two minute job, it is working as if new again. Guess I do not have to buy a new one yet.
