Got a virus warning from somebody about a so called teddy bear virus. Is this a real one or another one of those fakes where I have to delete some component from windows.

It is called 'jdbgmgr' and I found it in the windows/system32 folder.

Any computer experts here (basically most of you who will know more about the little machine than I do) who can enlighten me before I take any drastic action?

It's a hoax. It's a java debugging thing, and I'm not even sure if it's needed, but it's a Windows file and you shouldn't delete it. This one's been around for awhile, and the teddybear icon makes it very easy to confuse it with a virus.

More info.

Thank you! I knew it was too complicated for a simple virus.
