Invite codes

As an early adopter, nowadays even paid member, I do get quite a few invitation codes. So I decided to join the codesharing community and give away 5 codes. Gave them a few questions to answer, then had quite a few very fast responses. So within 12 hours I had given away 5 codes. Now, nearly a week later, I noticed that only 3 of them have been used. Strange, first you are very eager to get one, do an effort to answer my questions, then forget to start your own LJ?

I've noticed that as well when I gave away codes in invitecodes. People claim they desparately need them for a long-lost cousin or something, but then the code never gets used. If it does get used to create a journal, then the journal never gets used. I don't get it.

I had that once before as well, that's why this time I made them answer a few questions first. Guess that wasn't the ideal solution either.

I was amazed as well that even though I still had 2 codes available a few hours later, already 4 posts had appeared asking desperately for a code. Read!
