World Championships in Hamilton, Canada, on television at the moment. Sixty something kilometers done, nearly 200 to go still. I´ll be watching that for the next 4-5 hours.

No. Just missed it, sitting on the computer, listening to the tv behind me. The commentators over here were telling us how stupid it was. They might have seen it in the Tour de France, but that is a whole different story, when you cycle in 38 celcius..

Right. I have no idea who did it. I mean, I have no idea if the person was just some idiot Hamiltonian (insult to most Hamiltonians intended) or if they were someone who would watch the races regularly, you know?

I assume it wasn´t somebody who is a regular visitor of races. They know better. Apart from that, it would be quite weird to carry a bucket around to all the races. Therefore my guess is that it is some local who became enthusiastic when he read about it, watched cycling for the first time this summer, saw people throw water at the cyclists and decided to do something similar at his very first race. Wouldn´t call him idiot. (not very bright though)
