World Series

A day after the rest of LJ, I still like to let the world know that I am happy for the Marlins. Not because I like them. Not because I prefer NL over AL (though I do), but for the simple reason I can´t stand the Yankees.

I SOOOOO AGREE WITH YOU! I have the exact same sentiments as you do. I hate the Yankees, and while I would support the AL team that makes it to the World Series, I will never support the Yankees. I also am not a particular fan of the Marlins, although it is hard not to cheer for the underdog. And of course I hate the Atlanta Braves, so I am always actively hoping they don't make it to the Series either.I am happy though because it seems to me that Ivan Rodriguez was screwed over in Texas (as if the Rangers ever had a chance in hell to make it to the post season) and now that he is in Florida, he and his team won... so in a sense, I am happy for him specifically.

I like the Braves, they were the first team I watched as a student watching the world series in the middle of the night. You have to love a team that is the best during nearly every season for over a decade and always manages not too win anything after that.

Yeah, better the Marlins than the Yankees. However, it sooooo should've come down to Boston and Chicago...with the Cubbies taking it all of course!
