Heh :) Good point. But it is closer and cheaper to ski in Europe. Everything is so much closer together and public transport is so much more functional.

True, everything is closer. Yet also much more crowded. Travelling can get more complicated because of the masses.

I never noticed that myself, but when I lived in Europe I was mostly travelling in a company vehicle. I did notice how difficult it is to park a large van in most European cities. Rome, especially.

My country is one big traffic jam every morning from 6 to 10, again in the afternoon from 3 to 7. A bit like Rome, but a bit more sofisticated. And as we're all driving on our own, a van is way too big.

I watched people use their cars to ram other people's parked cars out of the way to make a parking spot bigger on the side of the Via Appia in Rome.
