Skiing

17 hours from now I'll be on the bus to Italy to get some skiing done. Over 80 students will be coming, 6 other colleagues as well. Actually looking forward to that. Not to the fact that I still have to get some sleep, pack and work all day tomorrow before leaving.

Too bad for me but great for you! We are going to be in your neighbourhood tomorrow (Borculo?) and I thought it would be nice to have dinner or a drink with you! Obviously organized too late, though! Jarg's aunt used to live there and has friends with an antique shop which is supposed to be not-very-expensive. Since we now have 100m2 and next to no furniture, I thought it would be nice to go and look at least for a table and chairs.

I also would like to pop over to Germany and go to a big supermarket- but there don't seem to be any bigger places just over the border there- do you sometimes go shopping in Germany? Can you recommend a town with a big ("hyper-")market, by any chance?

I realize you may not get back to this. In which case, have a great time skiing, you lucky duck.

Borculo is cycling distance from Goor. I think Gronau might be the best place to do some shopping. I'm not sure about the hypermarket. I remember from 20 years ago a K & K market. As a single household, one doesn't need to drive to Germany to do some groceries.

I hope you had fun on the ski slopes. We've had some beautiful weather out here for skiing lately. Too bad I've never tried it!

While I'm here, I need to ask you... are you going to be in ljfbl again this year? We're just trying to figure out the best time to draft and everything. Details are up in the community.
