A student from Poland selling drawings door to door in the Netherlands to finance his study? Something wrong there...

Hey!

Would you mind if I added you to my friend's list?

If you think I can be a valuable addition to your friend's list, please do. No need to ask actually.

Heartwarming is wrong ..Not the right word/s at all. More like inspiring. I find it sad.... Yet inspiring. Send him to my house with his art; I’d write him a check in a minute.

Does the word gullible mean anything to you?

Look, if I sensed for a second that this person was insincere, I would send him packing (with nothing.... mind you). I’m not gullible to these types of things or in general. Your post was vague..maybe you had to be there, but I choose to think the student was sincere...that’s all.

Fair enough. Thing was, I can't understand that if someone has financial problems, so bad that he can't pay his studies, he can afford to travel 2000km west, hoping that he can sell enough to make the trip worth it.

He seemed fairly sincere to me though.

I could never do that but I give the guy credit for taking the risk.

I don't know if it is a risk. I suspect someone behind him, some sort of scam.

I felt sorry for him though, offered him a drink or something to eat. He declined though.

I haven't been as active on LJ this year as I have before. You missed out a bit as well...
