I am proud to announce that I have used the extra day off to do the dishes (finally), to hoover the whole house, to do some running, sort out the pile of holiday brochures and also do the laundry.

Well done! I wish I could say the same. I used my day off (one of a seeming endless number of days off stretching into the horizon in both directions) to read 200 pages of a novel. I think I've read more books in the last month than I have in the last year. But it doesn't leave me feeling very proud of myself, somehow!!
