Footy update

Played a bad game yesterday. After last week, when everything went well, yesterday was crap. Bad weather. Bad pitch. Opponents with no skill, but plenty of dedication. I didn't do much good for the team, yet we were leading 0-1 at halftime, so the second half they attacked and we defended. My first good action was the assist for the 0-2, so happy there. When they scored just before time, they prepared for one last run on our goal. Instead I scored directly to decide the match, 1-3. Another away victory, 3rd in a row now. Shame we are so crap at home, not a single point yet, otherwise we could have been a contender for a top three finish.

I know it is. But it certainly doesn't apply to us. I was one of only two players that was sober a the time we left. Hardly any of us would make it at a higher level.

I hate to think how many of the professional players were sober a few years ago.

It sounds like you still enjoy playing though?

Not as much as I could. I could be in a team (or two) higer and have more fun playing with others who can actually play. Yet in the team I am in now I can play an importany role, with a lot of youngsters around me. Apart from that it is always fun to be a striker who can do whatever he wants and decide matches. So yes I am enjoying myself, otherwise I wouldn't get up early on sunday morning every week. Though I am looking forward to the winter break we enjoy next month.
