Who knows the real reason why Last.fm suddenly decides to change into a paysite? I don't believe their reasons.

And with me quite a few others.

So what's the alternative? Blip hasn't really managed to allure me either...

Don't like it either. When I got their email about this some time ago I was really puzzled. It all sounds so weird to me.

Hmm will check out Blip, never heard of that one before. :)

I've paid $3 a month for years now. A small price to pay.

Seriously? What are the benefits for the extra costs? I even read that people in the US, UK and Germany don't have to pay, only the rest of the world...

I remember the benefits at the time were access to the beta site, seeing who viewed your profile (not really a benefit I know), access to the all radio stations, full previews of tracks instead of just 30 seconds. There was more that I can't remember now.

Hmm, strange. I had most of that for free as well. Not anymore though.

So it's just the radio? Sorry, didn't pick that up in your post.
