Fantasy Baseball

Surprisingly enough, several weeks into the season, I have regained the lead in my Yahoo winners league! So it must be luck of the draw I guess, even though I'm second in my head-to-head, I'm last in LJFBL. Still leading 11 winners of last year does give me confidence.

A baseball fan from Iceland? Even stranger than a Dutch one!

I was a new fan of the game when I went and worked in the Dominican Republic for a while. Ever since the game has grown on me, the people there are fanatics, in the most extreme shape possible. It's a great game!

Yes I love baseball too. But I am not technically Icelandic but American... so it explains a lot more. Ha ha ha... the people in most Central American countries play baseball, and you are so right about the Dominicans! They are obsessed! :)

Depends on where you go in Central America. Nicaragua, Panama and most of the Caribic are baseball hotspots. Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador and Haiti are football (soccer) minded. Mexico is still divided, depends a bit on where you are.

But at least you understand my obsession. Then again, I've got it with both sports. I visited Akranes, just because I knew a Dutch team had played there once...
